Artifact: The attachment is a plan for an assistive technology tool. It is Read & Write. Read & Write is an online/computer program that offers a assistance to students who have learning disabilities such as dyslexia and also for students who are of limited English proficiency.
Rationale: It has many features that are useful to all students and are simple to use. Students who are in need of these accommodations won’t feel out of place because the program could come standard on all computers. The students who use Read & Write in my classroom are those who are visual learners, need passages read or just need things read at a slower pace.

Rationale: The temperature probe is tested in this screencast to see how it works and what factors make it function properly. It took trial and error to get it to work properly and it took sometime to learn how to effectively use it.
